Hubs

Sparrow offers a robust platform for collaboration through hubs and workspaces. Each user is automatically assigned a personal hub upon signing up, with the ability to create and manage multiple workspaces within these hubs. This guide walks through the features and functionalities available to effectively collaborate and manage your hubs and workspaces.

Personal Hub

Upon registration with Sparrow, each user is automatically assigned a “Personal Hub.” This serves as the primary environment where you can manage your workspaces and hub settings.

Workspaces, Hub Members, Invites and Hub Information

  • Workspaces: Your personal hub will include a default workspace. Additional workspaces can be created to organize different projects or aspects of your work.

  • Hub Members: View and manage who is in your hub and their roles.

  • Invites: Access this section to view the sent invites in pending status. Admin can either withdraw or resend the invite by clicking the action button.

Add New Hub

  • Creation: Navigate to the Hub section in your Sparrow interface. Click the ‘+’ icon to add a new hub.
  • Details: Provide a name and optional description for your Hub. You can also upload a hub logo to personalize the hub's profile.

Invite Members to a Hub

  • Inviting Members: Enter the email addresses of the individuals you wish to invite. Assign roles based on the access level required (Admin, Editor, Viewer).

  • Withdraw Invite: Withdraw the sent invite from the action column.
  • Resnd Invite: Resend the invite to the sender again by clicking on resend invite option from the dropdown.

Change Access to Current Hub Members

Manage and adjust the roles and permissions of existing hub members to align with evolving project needs or hub structures.

Transfer of Ownership

  • Initiate Transfer: Within the team settings, select ‘Change Owner’ to initiate the transfer of hub ownership.
  • Select New Owner: Choose a hub member from the dropdown menu to assign as the new owner.

  • Confirm Transfer: Review the details and confirm the transfer to officially change the hub ownership.

  • Save Changes: Confirm the role change to update their access permissions accordingly.

Member to Admin Transition

  • Role Upgrade: Choose a member from the hub list and select ‘Admin’ from the role dropdown to upgrade their permissions.

  • Confirm Upgrade: Validate the change to grant the member admin privileges.

Remove Access

  • Select Member: From the team list, click the dropdown next to a member’s name and select ‘Remove.’

  • Confirm Removal: A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm to remove the member from the hub.
